Introducing the KK Inc Models.......................

Kradle Kouture is so excited that we will be going live soon (this month). And so it's so befitting to go ahead and introduce our special treasures who make us look smashing!

DRUM ROLL PLEASE............
Ava-Mirre O-A

Ava-Mirre was born on October 14th 2007, in Atlanta, Georgia. Our pet name for her is “pumpkin”. Her favorite cartoon character is hmmm, now that’s a hard one. She actually likes every princess in the cartoon planet! Yes, and she knows and can recognize each and every single one of them. If you asked her which princess was her favorite, it would clearly depend on the day you asked her and how she felt that day. She’s the big sister to our next KK kid – Kelton-Pierce. She is the first child born to parents who hail from the land of Gold - Ghana. Kids-say-the-darnest-things phrase: “Mom, quit that already!!” Her favorite song is Willow Smith’s ‘Whip my hair’ and Wix Khalifa’s ‘Black and Yellow’.

Kelton-Pierce O-A

Kelton-Pierce was born on June 14th 2010, in Atlanta, Georgia. He has a couple pet names…KP, Kels, Pumpkin, Juicy, Kel Kel and the list goes on. His favorite cartoon character is hmmm, now that’s a tough one too because he is very indifferent…….He is the second and last (I must stress!) child born to parents who also hail from the land of Gold - Ghana. His favorite color is green and he just loves to smile and laugh. Kids-say-the-darnest-things phrase: Kelton-Pierce is yet to utter his first words but it appears he will be a talker…just like his sister!

Tatum W.

Tatum was born on Sept 20th 2008, in Atlanta, Georgia. Her favorite cartoon character is Minnie Mouse. She’s the first and only child born to parents who hail from Auburn, Alabama and Meridian, Mississippi. Her nickname is “Tatabug”.

Kids-say-the-darnest-things phrase: “Hey, what’s the big idea?”

Nuna A.

Nuna was born on April 17th 2008, in Atlanta, Georgia. Her friends (mind you it’s just HER friends people) call her NU-NU. Her favorite cartoon character is Tinker Bell. She’s the first and only child born to parents who come from Ghana and Nigeria in West Africa.

Kids-say-the-darnest-things phrase: “If you try it, you might just like it”

Mark Jr. B.

Mark Jnr was born on July 25th 2007, in Atlanta, Georgia. He goes by MJ for short. He might actually have some good dance moves like the legend too if you catch him on a good day. His favorite cartoon character is Thomas the Train. He’s the first child, and soon to be big brother, born to parents who hail from Georgia and California – that’s a pretty nice balance there.

Fadzwa T.

Fadzwa was born on May 17th 2008. She goes by FAZ for short. Her favorite cartoon character is any princess what so ever in the whole Disney Princess world. She’s the first and only child born to parents who come from Ghana and Montgomery, Alabama.

Kids-say-the-darnest-things phrase: “Mommy, I can do it myself, you know”. Fadzwa loves dressing up like a princess at any time whatsoever. And she loves to help mommy shop and choose clothes.

Christopher-Ethan G-M.

Ethan was born on December 17th 2007, in Atlanta, Georgia. He tends to go by ‘Spidey’ (as in Spider Man). His favorite cartoon character is Iron Man. He’s the first and only child born to parents who hail from Ghana in West Africa.

Interesting event that happened with him - so one fine day he gets his normal ‘Mohawk’ haircut session from his dad. Once the task was completed, Ethan finds his way straight to the bathroom mirror. He takes a look at himself and gives a smirk. Then he proceeds to pat his hair down on the sides so as to make the ‘cone’ area of his Mohawk a bit sharper, for the lack of a better term. Gives himself thumbs up and proceeds to be content with his look. When asked what he was doing, he says, “Well daddy told me how Astro Boy wears his hair and I think he’s so cool so I want to be that cool too so I have to get the hair right”

Happy Mother's Day!! Cheers to you..... the "Mommy-Accessorizers"

It was just recently that my sister and I were talking about how well she tends to always have her son with her with every trip she makes or every move she makes. Personally, having two kids doesn't help to follow suit but I still do my best to exemplify her because I think it's great to have your kids as your 'side kick'. What better way to know and train your kids but by having them as your best 'personal accessory' ? We laughed at the thought that she went everywhere with her 'boyfriend', 'side kick'..............her ACCESSORY.

It's so captivating how mothers instinctively sacrifice their schedules, time, and work to include their kids in their day-to-day activities (with out the help of anyone else, even baby sitters). From mothers who make it a point to travel with their tots on long destinations, to mothers who decide to include their tots in their shopping sprees and mothers who I know, often times take their kids with them to work. Mind you it's not an easy task, especially dealing with the 'terrible' twos and threes!! So I give them much respect. It's one rewarding lesson we all have to learn to do as mothers. We need to learn how to wear them well

But you see, just as we yummy mummies take time and are detail-oriented in choosing  the right bag, belt, so is it a skill accessorizing with our kids. Its important to make sure the kids have the right bling or the right shine to them; the right shade of color to match what we're wearing; the right detail. So while accessorizing with our kids, make sure that they look the part too - comfortable and cute. Our kids truly are the best accessories because they coordinate with every fabric, color and texture of our clothing, our whole being. Our accessories 9 times out of 10 define us. They also tend to reflect your personality and preferences. So let them strut their stuff because they make you look smashing in the process.

So on this mother's day, it is so befitting to congratulate all my mothers who perfect the art of rocking the right accessories - their children. I sincerely wish you all the best today on Mother's Day and even more importantly, each and every day. You're truly awesome! Nada MC, Abo A., Felicia , Monica A., Ewuraama S, a special congrats to you and to my greatest fan, my sister Akua - Ethan is one lucky guy!
